Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Queens

The new Mount Sinai Queens features primary care physicians in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Gyn, and Pediatrics, including specialists in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Pulmonology, Orthopedics, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. In addition, we have a full imaging suite, interventional radiology and integrated laboratory services. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build their practice within the Mount Sinai Health System.
We are currently seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join our multispecialty facility, located in the Mount Sinai Queens Hospital and a quick stop away from Manhattan and the diverse neighborhoods of Queens. We currently have a section of two full time orthopedic surgeons who are looking for a third colleague to grow the MSQ Orthopedics program.
The ideal candidate can have fellowship training but should be willing to practice general orthopedics. He/she will be responsible for providing care to patients in the Astoria office, hospital and off site practices. He/ she should be committed to state of the art medicine and quality improvement. Our hospital has a great sense of family and is deeply rooted in the Astoria community.
* Devote majority of professional time, attention and energies to practice
* Provide preventive care and follow-up care to patients per national association guidelines
* Provide clinical care to sick patients in office and in Hospital and Emergency Dept.
* Abide by the policies and procedures of Mount Sinai including the Physician Handbook
* Use the Epic system effectively and efficiently in accordance with Mount Sinai policies
* Follow compliance guidelines for documentation, coding and standard of care
* Work with Administration and Staff to improve standard of care provided to patients
* Participate in Provider Meetings at the Office and Staff Meetings at the Hospital
* Participate in Initiatives and Programs initiated by Practice and Mount Sinai Hospital
* Attend Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses
* Medical Degree from an Accredited University
* New York State Medical License
* Board Eligible or Board Certified Orthopedic Surgery
* Knowledge of Epic Systems preferred
* Bilingual preferred
