Gastroenterologist needed for established practice in Staten Island!

Job Description

The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time gastroenterologist to join Mount Sinai Doctors Staten Island Gastroenterology. The single specialty practice is located at 129 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY in a residential community with a large patient community that stays on Staten Island for their routine care. Staten Island has many restaurants, stores, services, and attractions and it has easy access to Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. Mount Sinai Doctors Staten Island Gastroenterology offers services such as colonoscopies and endoscopies. Additionally, the site has a comprehensive support team, including medical assistants. 
 
The chosen candidate will become part of a two gastroenterologist team in Staten Island. The candidate must have an interest in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Physicians will do office consults and follow-up visits, office procedures, hospital consults and procedures, and nursing home consults. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
 
Position Description:
  • Work with two gastroenterologists in a busy practice
  • Serve a residential population and live in a neighborhood with great private and parochial school districts. Easy access to cultural activities on Staten Island and Manhattan
  • Percentage of outpatient vs. inpatient: 80% office and 20% hospital
  • Support staff: Medical assistants and anesthesiologist provides a RN during procedures
  • Call schedule example: 1 in 5 or 6
  • EMR system: Not currently on EMR, but plan to implement Epic
  • No teaching, research, or administrative responsibilities

Position Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
