We have over 350 inpatient behavioral health beds and 4 psychiatric emergency locations (CPEP/Psych ED), and had over 1.2 million ambulatory behavioral health visits in 2017.
The Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai (AIMS) is seeking an outstanding Addiction Psychiatrist to lead the clinical Addictions Services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (MSBI). The Addictions Service at AIMS-MSBI is one of the largest providers of addictions treatment in the country, including the largest Opioid Treatment Program in the country. AIMS-MSBI is at the forefront of innovation in addictions healthcare delivery, including integrated primary care services and specialized engagement and care navigation services; and a robust clinical research platform studying new treatment modalities and services.
You will oversee all aspects of clinical care and operations (inpatient, urgent, and outpatient levels of care); ensure exceptional quality and delivery of care with measurable performance indicators; ensure effective broad-based implementation of MAT and recovery-oriented services; develop new and innovative clinical programs and initiatives; promote education and training of future clinicians and faculty in Addiction Psychiatry; and ensure continued successful collaboration with the research platform.

- Board certified Addiction Psychiatrist through ABPN, ABPM, or ABAM.
- Possess NYS license to practice medicine.
- At least five years of clinical administrative leadership experience of addictions services, preferably within a hospital-based setting.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills and ability to work effectively in matrixed environment.
- Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care.
- A strong work ethic and desire to grow and lead a team-oriented, performance-driven department.
- Qualifications for Assistant Professor or higher level required.
