We are currently seeking a highly motivated, forward thinking, and team oriented psychiatrist for the position of Director Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry Services at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s. The Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry Service encompasses the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, the Psychiatric Recovery Center, and the Center for the Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders. We provide care to individuals with a broad range of mental illnesses using a team approach, including psychopharmacological care and individual, group and family therapy. Close collaboration with on-site primary care and substance use services is built in. The service is a major teaching site for psychiatry residents, medical students and psychologists.
The Director of Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry will oversee these services and will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery. This will include oversight of clinical care, regulatory compliance and quality improvement, fiscal performance, as well as educational content for all staff and trainees. The outpatient services integrate primary care and the Director will have numerous opportunities for innovation and creative thinking. This is a mid-career position that reports to the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, and we are seeking a highly collaborative and incisive leader who can lead the service into a cutting edge platform that will be successful in a value-based system of care.
Qualified candidates will be board certified Psychiatrists, and possess NYS license to practice medicine. Candidates must have at least 5 years of clinical administrative experience in outpatient settings and have demonstrated success in executing change. Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required. Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai faculty appointment commensurate with experience.. Qualifications for Assistant Professor or higher level required.
