South Nassau Communities Hospital is currently seeking a Per-Diem Pathologist to join its hospital-based practice!
South Nassau Communities Hospital is a 455-bed acute care facility that has been delivering exceptional patient care for over 80 years.
We currently have an opportunity for an Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology, Board Certified Pathologist with a NYS MD license and excellent diagnostic and communication skills to join our hospital-based practice. Fellowship with sub-specialty training especially in cytopathology is preferred. Experienced Pathologist preferred to handle a variety of surgical pathology specimens, cytopathology specimens, and intraoperative consultations.
Our CAP and AABB Accredited Clinical Laboratory performs over 1 million billable tests and examines over 15,000 anatomic specimens annually. Our 24/7 Lab encompasses all Pathology Disciplines including Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Histology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology and Coagulation.
Located in beautiful Nassau County, Long Island, home of world-class golf and beaches, SNCH is only 30 minutes from all of the cultural attraction of New York City. EOE.
- Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.)
- NYS Physician License
- Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology
- Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
- Fellowship with sub-specialty training especially in Cytopathology is preferred
- Experienced Pathologist preferred
