Mount Sinai seeks Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist!
Mount Sinai Beth Israel is seeking a Geriatric psychiatrist for a Full time Outpatient Position in ambulatory care. The psychiatrist will be responsible for leading the ambulatory program in Geriatric psychiatry with opportunities for teaching medical students, residents and fellows in Geriatric Psychiatry. The position includes direct clinical care, teaching, supervision and opportunity for administration if interested. Hours are Monday to Friday with no required on-call. Opportunities for moonlighting are available within the hospital. Geriatric Psychiatry certification is desirable but not required. Faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with experience. The salary and benefits package are competitive. Our compensation plan gives consideration to your years of experience post-residency as well as specialty and sub specialty board certifications. - Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry
- Possess NYS license to practice medicine
- At least one year post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting preferred
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required
- Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care
- A strong work ethic and desire to participate in and grow a team-oriented, performance-driven department
